Our Story
Every product from Every Little Bit begins in the garden.
Founder Jessica Cima is a devoted gardener, award-winning food preservationist, and expert forager with more than 15 years of experience growing and preserving food rooted in sustainability and environmental stewardship. Her work includes small-batch jams and jellies made from fresh hand harvested fruits and vegetables, as well as carefully cultivated culinary herbs grown for home kitchens and restaurant partners alike.
Jessica’s philosophy was shaped early in life during summers spent working alongside her grandfather on his farm. There, she learned that growing good food isn’t about a single crop, it’s about balance. Her grandfather practiced crop rotation, rainwater collection, and thoughtful stewardship of the land, not as trends, but as a way of life. He taught her that the health of the soil, the plants, and the people who depend on them are deeply connected.
Today, Jessica carries those lessons forward in a subsistence garden that feeds her family of four on less than an acre. Sun-ripened berries, heirloom vegetables, and aromatic herbs are grown with intention, harvested at peek ripeness, and either preserved or delivered fresh to highlight their true flavor. Whether sealed in a jar or bundled for a kitchen, each ingredient reflects the same philosophy: grow thoughtfully, harvest with care, and let quality speak for itself.
In addition to her work in the garden, Jessica brings extensive experience from the food service industry, along with a strong academic background. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology, a master’s degree in museum studies, and a graduate certificate in gender studies. She is also a licensed Cottage Food Operator and holds Food Protection Manager certification.
For Jessica, food preservation and cultivation are about more than products. They are about honoring tradition, respecting the land, and passing knowledge from one generation to the next. Every Little Bit is an expression of that belief, thoughtfully grown, carefully preserved, and meant to be shared, with the love and appreciation that goes into every step of its creation.
